1. Jaipur

Jaipur is the capital of the state, Jaipur is also the largest city in the Rich and superior state of Rajasthan. It was founded in 1727, by the Kachwaha Rajput Ruler Sawai Jaisingh II, who was the ruler of Amber. Also known by the nickname ‘Pink City of India’ which is due to the distinctive saffron or pink color of the buildings. The planning of the city was done according to the Indian architecture. The well planned streets and detailed and artistic architecture make it one of the top preferred tourist visiting place.

In the year of 2008 Conde Nast Traveller Readers Choice Survey, Jaipur was ranked #7 of the best places to visit in Asia. Jaipur has lots to offer to even the most average tourists. Forts, monuments, temples, Gardens, museums and vast market places of Jaipur bring tourists who come from all around the world to experience the food, fun and frolic at this wonderful place. Jaipur is also known as home to a huge no. of arts and craft with over 20 unique specializations. Everyone have to visit this beautiful place at least once in a life time.



2.JodhPur

The second largest City of Rajasthan, And also second most populated city of Rajasthan after Jaipur. The city was founded in 1459 by the Rathore Rajput Ruler, Rao Jodha Singh of Marwar. The city was founded as Marwar’s new capital after the fall of the former capital of Mandore. Jodhpur is also called the Sun City as it enjoys a bright sunny weather entire year round. Strategically, it is considered to be the most important city of western Rajasthan as it lies only at a distance of 250 kilometers from the Indo-Pakistan border.

Also, because it lies in the center of Rajasthan, Jodhpur is an very important tourist place as well. Jodhpur has been listed many times in different tourism magazines and documentaries and has topped the lonely planet’s list of most extraordinary place to stay in 2014. The Different hill forts, palaces and the old walled city are just a handful of attractions from the multitude that this wonderful city has to offer.

3.UDAYPUR:

Udaypur is among the most popular tourist place in Rajasthan.It is often called the city of lakes and was once the capital of the histroic kingdom of mewar.The Sisodia caln of Rajputs had set up their capital in Udaipur after they moved from Chittorgarh.

The city was the capital of the Sisodiya Rajputs of Mewar and is famous for its palaces that exemplify the finesse of Rajputana Style architecture. Udaipur was founded in 1553 by the Sisodiya Rajput Ruler Maharana Udai Singh II. The Mewar Rajputs founded the city to relocate their capital from Chittor to a more secure location. Today most of the palaces have been converted into hotels, thus attracting a huge no of tourist crowd to this city.

The city’s beautiful location at the foothills of the Aravalli Mountains, the state of Udaipur is a unique destination. Apart from its various palaces, forts, market places, and various temples are also the reason for its popularity. And The cities are well planned and the people hospitable, the place is not only famous for its palaces and monuments, the city of Udaipur has a lot to offer its visitors.

4.JAISALMER:
The aptly named “golden city”, which comes from its view during the day, the city of Jaisalmer lies in the heart of the Thar Desert. The city was founded by The Bhati Rajput ruler Maharawal Jaisal Singh in 1156. The city gets its name from the golden sands of the Thar Desert and the same golden colored sandstone used in the city’s architecture. The city of Jaisalmer is a famous tourist spot due to its fantastic architecture and the various arts and crafts which are unique to this region. The city expands on tourism, and can be called a home away from home for a huge no of tourists from all over the world.
The unique feature about the city of Jaisalmer is architecture. It was built as a walled city which is familiar it one of the largest forts in the world. You might want to pack a lot of paperbacks and almost 3-4 days to enjoy the life happily in this city to its fullest. The fort has numerous eateries that offer Italian, French and local cuisines. 5.BIKANER:  
The city of Bikaner was founded in 1488 by the Rathore Rajput Ruler Rao Bika. Rao Bika was the son of the Rathore Ruler Rao Jodha who founded Jodhpur. The land was usurped from the rivaling Jat rulers of that time. However, no matter how many wars the ancient city has seen in the past, today Bikaner is another prime tourist destination and is famous for its sweets and snacks. The place is familiar for its forts and food.
The various arts and crafts of this place are also unique, especially the intricately carved windowpanes called jharokhas. It is one town we would personally recommend for you to visit if you want to experience the authentic taste of rajasthani cuisines. The various fairs held in Bikaner also attract a huge no of visitors from all around India and the world. The famous temples like Karni Mata and Laxmi Nath Temple etc. These all also worth the visit.

6.PUSHKAR:
Located in the Ajmer District of Rajasthan, the holy City of Pushkar is often described as the king of pilgrimage sites in India. The town is located at the shores of the Pushkar Lake, which was created by the tears of Lord Shiva. The town is one of the oldest city of India and the date of its origin is unknown and is often associated with the Hindu mythology. The town is famous for its temples and various Ghats which are frequented by hundreds of visitors during the annual bath. The water of the lake is considered sacred and thus is responsible for the town’s repute as a pilgrimage spot.

Perhaps the most illustrious attraction of Pushkar is the annual camel fair. It is a five day fair held where people buy and sell livestock. But that’s not all the fair is home to a large no. of tourist crowd that is attracted by the music,dance and various events that are held here during the camel fair.Camel races are one of the major attractions for the visitors as well...

7.CHITTORGARH:
The ancient city of Chittorgarh also known as Chittor, was said to have been founded by the Maurya Dynasty. However its significance rose when the Ruler of the Sisodiya Rajput Clan of Mewar captured the city in 734 Ad and made it the capital of Mewar. The place is known to be the birthplace of many great warriors and historical figures like the Great Maharana Pratap and the Hindu saint, Meera Bai. The city being an ancient place contains many different palaces, temples and forts which display some of the most advanced architectural designs and artistic mastery.

One of the major places to visit in Chittorgarh is the Chittorgarh fort, which is the biggest fort in India. The fort was the former capital of mewar before its relocation to the more secure city of Udaipur. The fort was founded in the 7th century by the 1st Sisodiya Rajput Ruler Bappa Rawal and spreads over an area of 2.8 sq kilometers and its highest elevation point is 1,075 metrs above sea level. 8 Amber (Amer)Fort and Palace:
The Amber Fort, more usually known as the Amer Fort, is one of the most popular and famous it is located at a distance of 11 km from the Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan .The Amber Fort and Palaces are some of the most popular visiting places in Rajasthan and attract tourists from both within and outside the country.
Overlooking the Maota Lake, the fort is best known for its artistic representation of Hindu elements. The fort is built with red sandstone and marble and consists of the Diwan-e-Aam or the Hall of Public Audience, the Diwan-e-Khaas or the Hall of Private Audience, the Sheesh Mahal and the Sukh Niwas. Remarkably, the Sukh Niwas has a very indigenous form of air-conditioning wherein artificial winds are blown over a water cascade to cool the surroundings.
The Amer Palace served as the royal residence of Rajput Maharajas and their families. And At the entrance of the Amber Fort, there is a temple dedicated to Sila Devi, who is a goddess of the Chaitanya Cult.

1. AGRA:-
Introduction
the name brings to our mind superb monuments including the magnificent Taj which is one of the "seven wonders" of the world. It is situated along the banks of the River Yamuna and attracts thousands of tourists every day from all over the world. The Taj, one of the wonders of the world and a World Heritage Monument, is only one of the innumerable edifices the Mughals endowed this city.
This beautiful building is elegantly built with white marble by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between the years 1631 to 1648 and it was built in the memory of his favorite beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal. Standing majestically on banks of Yamuna River, this breathtaking, immensely beautiful monument is a synonymous to romance and love. TAJ MAHAL IS CLOSED ON FRIDAYS.

TAJ MAHAL

 Lotus Temple :-

Lotus Temple is located in South Delhi and it is also known as 'Bahai House of Worship'. This 20th century wonder made of marble, cement and sand. This temple has represents the Baha'i faith and it is founded by the Baha'ullah, an independent world religion. The Lotus Temple is in the form of a white half-opened lotus flower. This is one of the most visited Beautiful structures in India. It is estimated the temple has attracted more than 50 million visitors since its inception.

Qutub Minar:-

Qutb Minar a soaring stone tower, 72 meters high, was built by Qutb-ud-din-aibak in the year of 1193. The tower has five distinct storeys, each with a projecting balcony. The base of the Minar is 15 m, in diameter and top just 2.5 m in diameter, an amazing piece of work. At its base is the Quwwat -ul-islam mosque, the first mosque to be built in India. A 7m hight ironpillar (4th century) stands in the courtyard of the mosque.
To watch the sky touching monument of India reach Mehrauli. The tombstone is an incredible example of early Indo- Islamic architecture. It has five distinct storey and they are made of red sandstone and marble. Surrounding of the minaret is covered with beautiful garden and some ruined architecture, which boost up the beauty of the monument.

The true reflection of Hindu temples is only can be watched in the most spectacular Akshardham temple. Architects have made this temple so beautifully that it can fascinate every heart. Inside the temple campus there are so many places of interest such as musical fountain, boat ride, the hall of values, Aarsh Center etc. Evening view of the temple is worth watching; its decorated lights brighten up the monument such like that moon has landed in this ground in the dark night.

The world famed Akshardham Temple is worth visiting amongst Delhi attractions. The exquisite Temple situated on the bank of the serene river Yamuna is a wonder to the modern world. Embellished with 20,000 statues, floral motifs, arches and intricately carved pillars show the immense artistry that human hand can do. Spread over an area of 100 acres, the temple complex consists of exhibition halls, an IMAX theater and a musical fountain besides the main temple.

 It has also got a restaurant portraying the architecture of the Ajanta-Ellora caves and an Ayurvedic Bazaar. The architectural style of the temple follows the famous Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The entire temple compound is built in pink stone and pure white marble, where pink stone symbolizes bhakti (devotion) in eternal bloom and white marble of absolute purity and eternal peace. The temple is fast becoming one of the most famous places in Delhi. This splendid architectural marvel has also made it to Guiness Book of Wolrd Records for being the largest Hindu Temple Complex in the world. This is a much deserved recognition that Akshardham temple has recieved.

Red Fort:-

 The famous Red Fort was built in the early 17th-century. The Red Fort "Lal Qila", made of red sandstone one of the most magnificent monuments in Delhi,The red fort was built using red sandstone and marble which gives it the red colour.It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1638. It was here that the National Flag was hosted for the first time, when India gained her Independence on 15th Aug 1947.
  It is the place where, in every Republic Day and Independence Day of India, Prime Minister delivers his motivational speech to the common Public. Inside the massive Fort there is a museum, which shows a wonderful collection of several belongings of ancient Mughal emperor’s.

  


 India Gate:-


India Gate is one of the most famous and one of the most visited places of Delhi. This famous monument is located in the core of Delhi. At night India Gate is visited by the most number of people. This monument was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. India Gate was completed and inaugurated on 10 feb, 1921.
The memory of 90,000 Indian soldiers are still breathing in the national monument of the country, ‘India Gate’, who lost their lives fighting for the British Army in World War I. The wonder now has become one of the favorite tourist spots in Delhi. Availability of a small pond near India Gate, offers you pedal boating facility, where you can spend some splendid moments with your family, friends and beloved one.


Jama Masjid:-

Jama Masjid is the biggest Mosque of India. The famous Jama Masjid was constructed by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. The beautiful construction of the mosque attracts people from all over the world to this place. The mosque is built in complete Islamic architectural way.

The world’s heritage site, Jama Masjid is overlooking the massive Red Fort. It is the most sacred place of Muslim community people, which is considered the largest mosque of India. Access inside the Masjid is strictly prohibited if you don’t dress properly. This means cover your head, shoulders and legs with the attire that are available there. There is no fee for entry if you are without camera.





THE INDIAN PARLIAMENT:-

Originally called the House of Parliament, it was designed by the British architect Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker in 1912-1913 and construction began in 1921. The opening ceremony of the Parliament House, then called the Central Legislative Assembly, was performed on 18 January 1927 by Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy of India. The third session of Central Legislative Assembly was held in this house on 19 January 1927.

Raj Ghat:-

Rajghat in Delhi is the cremation site of Gandhiji, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi who is most reveredly remembered as the Father of Nation. This memorial is located between the main Ring Road which is now known as the Mahatma Gandhi Road and the banks of the Yamuna River, just southeast of Red Fort. Set amidst deep green lawns and fountains, Rajghat is surrounded by a lovely wooded area and several exotic trees creating a serene ambience.
The mortal remains of Mahatma Gandhi were cremated at this ghat or stepped embankment at the edge of the Yamuna river on 31st January in following his assassination while walking to his customary prayer meeting at Birla House.
The structure of the Samadhi reflects simplicity. The brick platform on which his body had been burned, a black marble platform of some twelve feet by twelve feet square and two feet deep and a surrounding while marble fence were erected and the shores were landscaped. The last words of Mahatma Gandhi, 'Hey Ram' are inscribed on the memorial platform which is flanked by an eternal flame.
Earthworks around the cenotaph protect it from the flooding Yamuna. Inside this enclosure trees were planted with and little square plots of white pebble stones added for decoration.
There are trees labeled near the platform planted by visiting dignitaries such as Queen Elizabeth II, Ho Chi Minh, the former Australian Prime Minister Gough Whitman and the former US president Dwight Eisenhower.
People of every class visit the memorial to pay their homage to Mahatma whom they fondly call the ‘Bapu’. Good parking facilities are available and all basic facilities for visitors are present within the premises.
